Mixing Instructions for Dry Glazes

For the perfect consistency, we recommend:

  • Mixing about 13.5 fl oz of our Mix Master Glaze Liquid per pound of dry glaze.
  • If you want to make a dipping glaze, we do not recommend adding more liquid, which will dilute the color too much.
  • Instead, add a drop of our Sodium Silicate solution until you achieve the desired consistency (no more than 5 drops, too much sodium silicate will have the opposite effect).
  • Sodium silicate thins the glaze without diluting it.
  • For best results, we recommend running the liquid glaze through a 80-mesh sieve and letting it sit overnight before use.

ImportantAways wear a mask that meets NIOSH-N95 standards while handling dry chemicals.
