  • COLOR PROFILE - Clear fires to a glossy, transparent coat with a faint ivory warmth that lets the clay, underglaze or decoration beneath show through. Nearly colorless over white clay, it deepens and enriches red and darker clays. Thick coats may show a fine crackle.
  • CONE 06–04 LOW-FIRE - Formulated for low-fire kilns at cone 06 to cone 04 (about 1828–1945°F). Always fire in a calibrated pottery kiln, never a kitchen oven, so your results match the swatch.
  • GLOSSY, CLEAR FINISH - Fires to a clear, glossy coat that adds shine and depth while showing the clay body, underglaze or decoration beneath.
  • READY TO BRUSH & BLEND - Ready to brush straight from the jar. Blend with colors in the same series to make new glaze colors, or layer it with other glazes for new effects.
  • ART MATERIAL - Conforms to ASTM D-4236 art materials standard. Suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food or drink when fired to the specified cone on the product label. Crazing, pinholing or blistering makes a surface unsuitable; test your own clay and firing.
  • CONSCIENTIOUSLY MANUFACTURED - At Penguin Pottery, our core values are simple: manufacture responsibly in the USA, craft exceptional products, and support the pottery community by donating 1% of our sales to school programs, community centers, and disaster relief for artists.
  • LIFETIME WARRANTY - Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your product. See warranty & support section for more information.
